Theatre has been a passion of mine since I was a pre-teen. I have composed a wish list of some Theatre shows that I would like to see or have seen but wouldn’t mind seeing them again.
I first got into Theatre when I was taken to see ‘The Wizard of Oz’ with my sister, from that moment I have been addicted to the Theatre scene. My favourite things about musical theatre is the story’s that are told by music, song and dance.
Here is my musical Theatre Wish list:
Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, it follows the story of the witches of Oz, before, during and after the events of Wizard of oz. With music and lyrics by Stephen Swartz.
The story of Frankie Valli and the four season, Jersey Boys follows their rise to fame and the cracks that were beginning to show behind the scenes. The musical features most of their hits.
The West End’s longest running musical, based on the novel epic by Victor Hugo, it is set against the back-drop of the French revolution, it follows the story of Jean Valjean as he pursed across France by Inspector Javert. The musical has one of the most beautiful soundtracks.
The West End’s second longest running musical, based on the book by Gaston Leroux, is set in the Paris Opera House and it follows the story of the Phantom of the opera, who is hiding beneath the Opera House and is ashamed of his physical appearance and is feared by all but ends up falling in love his beautiful protégée Christine. With music by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, you’ll find it hard to resist the music.
